Beer
for All at Durham Festval
by Arash Jahanian
"Beer"
was the word in Durham Saturday.
Beer
lovers from within and outside the Triangle flocked
to the historic Durham Athletic Park throughout
the day to "wet their whistles."
The
seventh annual World Beer Festival featured more
than 300 selections from 100 breweries around
the world, including Franklin Street's Top of
the Hill and Carolina Brewery.
Bands
entertained the festival-goers, who enjoyed the
weather while throwing down one of their favorite
beverages.
The
event benefited the Carolina Theatre, whose 1920s
performance hall is the last of 13 original theaters
in Durham.
